The Pill Club World Contraception Day
The Pill Club's first out-of-home activation for World Contraception Day establishing the brand as a trusted, modern leader in contraception.
We brought The Pill Club’s promise of simple, on-demand birth control access into the physical world with a 10-foot-tall, uterus-shaped vending machine installed in New York City’s SoHo district.
Recasting a familiar vending format as a cultural statement, the installation removed friction from accessing contraception and made women’s sexual health visible, immediate, and openly discussable. By placing it in a high-traffic public space, the work directly confronted the stigma that keeps both birth control and conversations around it private.
Inspired by the everyday ease of purchasing male contraception, the piece asked a simple question in physical form: why isn’t women’s contraception just as accessible and normalized?
As Art Director and lead designer, I led the visual direction, industrial design development, environmental graphics, and attendee experience for the activation—ensuring a cohesive experience that felt approachable, empowering, and distinctly on-brand.
The activation generated 110K visibility traffic, drove 18K in-person visits, and resulted in 1,826 one-on-one engagements, successfully turning awareness into meaningful, real-world interaction.
